What is the FDA?
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is there to safeguard the public health. They enforce safety standards on all products related to food, drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, and household hazards.
What is FDA LTO?
LTO is a license to operate. This is the first requirement for a company to operate. LTO allows you to be an importer, distributor, or manufacturer.
What is FDA CPR?
CPR is a certificate of product registration. Each product should have its own CPR with a designated registration number.
What is the difference between FDA CPR and FDA LTO?
Having an LTO does not mean that the product is registered with the FDA. LTO is a requirement for the company. CPR is more important and allows you to distribute specific products.
This means that if you have an LTO but does not have a CPR this means that the product may not be safe.
Always look for CPR and not LTO to ensure your safety.
